The issue happens after starting the car, pressing and holding the brake, squeezing the park release on shifter and trying to pull the shifter back to put into gear and shifter will it will not budge or move. I no longer drive car on highway so I haven't experienced it stopping while driving, but it still whines, accelerates slowly, and rpms are erratic. I was pressing gas pedal to the floor and car would not increase speed. Obviously, this will be the shift solenoid or the cvt. Transmission was replaced with rebuilt transmission under warranty. Part was replaced with a new one. The Altima's not tuned as edgy as the new Infiniti G35--on purpose--but it's anything but boring.

Mechanics test drove and inspected and all 3 said it is not the clutch. These transmissions dont have a cooler lline that runs through the radiator to cool the fluid like older vehicle, some of them have a cooler built into the transaxle assembly that actually has coolant running through it.
In the mean time, the right front cv joint started making noise and a new axle was ordered and installed. After a few days I was driving at 20 mph and heard a loud sound and my car came to a stop and would not accelerate or move in reverse. I first flushed clutch fluid and then I had to replace clutch master cylinder. Quoted 5 days, took 2. Sometime when shifter will not unlock you can wiggle the shifter handle or try repeatedly and the solenoid lock in the shift mechanism will finally release however most times you are better off using the override however you need to have a screw driver in car to perform that procedure. I have purchased multiple parts for multiple vehicles through A1 Auto and I have never had any issues with the online ordering, the prices, or the shipping. Transmission replaced due to metal contaminents in trans oil. Same early symptoms that happened before my transmission failed the 1st time: humming at 3000+ rpms, slight loss of power on hills as if transmission was slipping. But before that even happened, my speed sensor started going out, so sometimes it would just be stuck in second gear.
It just would not go. I went to park car and could not take out of gear only able to put the car in neutral and leave key in ignition. Replaced driveshaft, transmission seal, accessory belt. New Transmission installed three weeks later. But I'll def let you know what they say. We have asked to have the car rela.
Once was around the city and the other was in the mountains. Dealer said I needed a new transmission but they are on back order. Thanks God, that I was able to do it. It took extra pressure on the gas pedal to get it to go. Start the truck and with the brake pedal compressed place gear selecter in each gear for 10 seconds then return to park and check level agian. I fill they didn't correct the shifting problem maybe repaired.
